Interested in becoming at Art Docent?
The Art Docents of Los Gatos is actively seeking new recruits to help us teach art to the students of Los Gatos. No experience with teaching? No artistic talent? No problem – we will train you! All you need is a desire to work with kids and help them foster an appreciation for art. Once trained, we ask our volunteers to commit to teach in the classroom during the school year.
If you don’t have time to volunteer as an Art Docent, you can volunteer to help in your child’s classroom when there is an Art Docent lesson being taught. We also appreciate monetary donations to help fund our lessons.
All help is appreciated. All parents are invited to explore becoming an Art Docent.
The mission of the Art Docents of Los Gatos is to provide high quality visual arts curriculum to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade in the Los Gatos Union School District, with the goal of fostering the development of flexible, innovative and creative individuals. The Art Docents serve students in the Los Gatos elementary schools (Blossom Hill, Daves Avenue, Lexington, Louise Van Meter) and R.J. Fisher Middle School.
